# FAQ

> Common questions about Cesto.

**What is Cesto?**

Cesto is a platform for investing in narrative-driven baskets on Solana. Each basket is a curated portfolio of assets built around a specific theme or conviction, like defense spending, Congressional trading, or AI. You invest in one click, and the assets are held in your own wallet.

**How do I get started?**

Go to [app.cesto.co](https://app.cesto.co) and sign in with Google (Cesto creates a wallet for you), or by connecting an existing Solana wallet. Add some USDC, browse the available baskets, and invest. That's it.

**How do I add or withdraw funds?**

Baskets are funded in USDC. You can deposit USDC to your account and withdraw USDC out to any Solana address at any time. See [Funding](/cesto/funding).

**What happens when I invest in a basket?**

You receive the underlying assets in your wallet at the basket's target weights. Not a token representing the basket, the actual assets.

**Is my money safe?**

Cesto is non-custodial: your funds stay in a wallet you control. Cesto never takes custody of your funds, you authorize every action, and you can withdraw at any time. [More on security](/cesto/security).

**Can Cesto move my funds on its own?**

No, not beyond what you authorize. You approve each invest, rebalance, close, and withdrawal, and Cesto executes only that. You can optionally enable auto-rebalance for a basket, which is off by default and you can turn off anytime. [More on security](/cesto/security).

**What blockchain does Cesto run on?**

Solana.

**What are the returns shown on each basket?**

The annual return percentages are based on backtested historical performance over the past year. They show how the basket's strategy would have performed, not a guarantee of future results.

**What are RWAs?**

Real-world assets (RWAs) are tokenized versions of traditional assets like stocks and commodities, made accessible on-chain. Some baskets include RWAs alongside crypto-native tokens to give you exposure to both traditional and digital markets.

**Are there fees?**

Cesto charges a small platform fee on transactions. You'll always see what applies before you confirm.

**Can I exit my position anytime?**

Yes. There are no lock-ups. Close a position and your assets are swapped back to USDC, which you can withdraw to any Solana address. If you used an external wallet, your assets are in your own wallet to do with as you like.

**What is rebalancing?**

When market movement or a strategy update causes your holdings to drift from the basket's target allocation, rebalancing realigns your positions. By default you approve each rebalance; you can also opt in to automatic rebalancing per basket. [Learn more](/cesto/rebalancing).

**Can I create my own basket?**

Yes. Anyone can publish a basket idea on [Cesto Labs](/cesto/labs) and have the community vote on it. To build fully-managed, investable baskets, see the [Creator program](/cesto/creators).

**Do I need technical knowledge?**

No. If you can sign in and approve an action, you can use Cesto.
