Funding your account

Cesto investments are funded in USDC on Solana. Before you invest in a basket, you need USDC available to deploy across the basket’s assets. How you add funds depends on how you signed in:
  • Signed in with Google. Cesto created a wallet for you automatically. Send USDC to its address to top it up: copy the address from the deposit screen, or transfer in from an exchange or another wallet.
  • Connected an external wallet. You invest from your own wallet’s USDC balance. Just make sure it holds enough.
USDC is the funding currency for every basket. If you hold other tokens, swap them to USDC first, on Cesto or any Solana DEX.

Depositing

Open the funding screen in the app, choose Deposit, and you’ll see your Cesto wallet address (and a QR code). Send USDC to it from:
  • A centralized exchange (Coinbase, Binance, etc.): withdraw USDC on the Solana network
  • Another Solana wallet
  • A bridge, if your USDC is on another chain
Your balance updates once the transfer confirms on Solana. From there, you’re ready to invest.

Withdrawing

You can take your money out at any time. Withdrawals are sent in USDC to any Solana address you choose.
  1. Open the funding screen and choose Withdraw
  2. Enter the amount and the destination Solana address
  3. Authorize the withdrawal
  4. The USDC lands in the destination wallet once it confirms on-chain
Withdrawals are made in USDC. To withdraw the value of an open position, close it first. The basket’s assets are swapped back to USDC, which you can then withdraw.

Good to know

  • USDC in, USDC out. Funding and withdrawals both use USDC on Solana.
  • No lock-ups. Your funds are never locked. Close positions and withdraw whenever you want.
  • Check the network. When depositing from an exchange, always select Solana and send USDC. The wrong asset or network can mean lost funds.
